International Insurance Accepted

We accept international insurance. Many of our patients split the year between New York and Latin America and carry international plans that cover podiatry, including laser treatment for fungal nails. You pay at the time of your visit and we provide the itemized receipt and documentation your insurer needs to reimburse you.

How Paying With International Insurance Works

Most international health plans reimburse you directly instead of paying a US provider. At Millennium Podiatry, you pay for your visit at the front desk, and we give you an itemized receipt that lists each service with its diagnosis and procedure codes. You then send that receipt, with any claim form your plan asks for, to your insurer for reimbursement.

If your insurer needs a doctor’s note, a treatment summary or records from an earlier visit, ask our front desk and we will prepare them for you.

Foot and Ankle Care Our International Patients Ask About

Patients who live part of the year abroad come to our Upper East Side office for the same care as our New York patients, including:

Coverage differs from plan to plan, so check with your insurer which services it reimburses, and how much, before your appointment.

What to Bring to Your Appointment

  • Your international insurance card or policy number
  • A passport or other photo ID
  • Your insurer’s claim form, if it uses one
  • Any referral or pre-approval your plan requires
  • Earlier foot X-rays or medical records, if you have them
