Skin elasticity decreases with age, and the appearance of cellulite affects 80% of all women. Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Treatment® (EPAT®) is the most advanced and effective treatment available for cellulite today. This FDA approved method is available to treat acute or chronic muscle and tendon pain by stimulating the blood circulation and accelerating the healing process of damaged tissue.

EPAT works by applying oscillating acoustic waves to the affected body regions. This relaxes the connective tissue and firms the skin. It also rejuvenates collagen growth, strengthening the dermis and epidermis. This provides a long-last improvement in skin appearance and texture.

The procedure involves the application of a gel to the targeted area and then moving the device applicator in circular motions over the area. The applicator delivers pressure waves into the painful area which gradually regenerate the damaged tissue. EPAT treatment sessions last about 15 minutes. Most patients require three sessions performed at weekly intervals in order to achieve their desired results. Patients may experience immediate pain relief or it may take up to four weeks before significant relief is felt. Over 80 percent of patients treated report to be pain-free and/or have significant pain reduction.

EPAT is a possible solution for the following:

  • Plantar fascitis
  • Bursitis (Bursitis is inflammation of a bursa. The major bursae are located adjacent to the tendons near the large joints, such as the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees.)
  • Tibialis anterior syndrome
  • Achilles tendonitis
  • Non-unions of Bones
  • Heel spurs
  • Hallux limitus
  • Various chronic enteropathies (painful irritation of tendon attachments due to overexertion and improper strain, or due to a degenerative process)
  • Various sports injuries
  • Painful trigger points ( due to chronically shortened and thickened muscle tissue)

In an EPAT® pilot study, 91% of patients said they would recommend EPAT® to other patients. The before and after photos speak for themselves!
