Dr. Suzanne Levine is the #1 NY Podiatrist with 35 years of experience as a Board-Certified Podiatric Surgeon.

Adam Landsman, D.P.M., Ph.D., F.A.C.F.A.S.

Meet Dr. Adam Landsman

After completing his Ph.D. in bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania and a doctor of podiatric medicine (D.P.M.) degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Landsman solidified his place as the very first simultaneous dual-degree podiatrist in history.

After completing a podiatric surgical residency, he taught bioengineering at the University of Miami. Shortly after receiving a National Science Foundation grant, he was recruited to serve as the Director of Research at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago where he rose to the rank of professor in the Department of Surgery. During Dr. Landsman’s tenure as Research Director, he built a comprehensive research laboratory with mechanical testing equipment, cell culture laboratory, and advanced microscopy facility.

Through extensive clinical trial research that ran from 1995-2000, Dr. Landsman transitioned into a full-time partner at the practice of Weil Foot and Ankle Institute, one of the largest and most prestigious podiatric practices in the country. Over the course of Dr. Landsman’s career, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, chaired the Research Committee, and held other national appointments.

Dr. Landsman’s Academic Associations

Dr. Landsman was one of the first foot and ankle surgeons to introduce engineering methods and mechanical testing as a tool for assessing surgical techniques. He created and led forums to help colleagues and students incorporate his ideas into their daily practices. His accolades continue to flourish beyond professional podiatry standards. Dr. Landsman’s involvement in establishing nationally recognized research programs, both scientifically and academically, is considered to be his proudest of achievements. This year, he was selected for the third time as one of the 100 most influential podiatrists in America.
